Prediction: conformity more-so than the disastrous housing crisis will be the thing that dooms Silicon Valley.
The slopes are pointed in a way that the benefits of serendipity and closeness will soon be less than the cost of remoteness.
Given increasingly better remote collaboration tools and recent trendiness of decentralization, we’re much closer to this junction than ever before.
But I’m still optimistic about Silicon Valley; I still live here after all. Many know it’ll be really hard to innovate and make new things if we all think the same. So let’s hope for the rise of the individual and disappearance of the mob.Posted on 2018-01-03
